What do you mean you can't eat your daily allowance of calories? What is it, for starters?0 -
Eat calorie dense foods like proteins and healthy fats- nuts, seeds, meat, oils, avocados.
If you are eating a variety of healthy food and still not able to make your calorie minimums talk to your dr. But it sounds like you are looking to lose a lot, so running a large calorie deficit may be ok for you to start off with. Just know the loss will start more quickly and then slow down as you get smaller.0 -
eat full fat/calorie versions of food, avoid lite and diet foods. You can also drink more cals, as it is much less filling to do this.0

Also looking at your diary, it looks like you could eat like, you know, ALL your meals instead of 1 or 2 a day. I'm 135lb woman and I'd be STARVING eating that. :-)0

I'm thoroughly confused.0 -
Take a look at my diary, it's public.
For the past week I've been bulking, minimum of 3000 calories a day. It's been hard to eat that amount but if you're not eating enough you just need to adjust to bigger portions, and more calorie dense foods (nuts, cheese, fatty meats) etc0 -

what part of that is confusing you???? seems very clear to me that he is just not hungry therefore not eating close to his target0 -
I think you have to eat every two hours even if it is just a 100 calories or so.....you have to eat to lose.0

my allowance is 2220 calories but if i do exercise it goes up to nearly 30000

Okay, I'll accept that I'm the one misinterpreting this. I read that he wants to increase calories and start to lose weight... normally I associate eating less with losing weight not more... but I'm not a member of the writing police so if it was clear to others and he's getting the advice he needs, then all is good.0 -
I used to have that problem till I found peanut butter and a spoon. Problem solved. Take today for instance. I need to eat 3200 calories. I'm going to need to find some calorie dense food to eat it all back. I'm up to 2431 so far and the additional 857 will take some work to fit in. Enter peanut butter. This fabulous tasting snack is packed full of calories.0

I've looked at your diary and I really think the biggest thing you can focus on is having a series of complete and balanced meals and snacks. Order and or break them up however suits you best, but you need to focus on eating more and when you do eat, eating nutritious food- NOT just low fat or low calorie.
I can *easily* hit 2000 calories in a day.
Breakfast- Something with protein- eggs or pb and coffee
Mid morning snack- nuts
Lunch - sandwich or soup and a piece of fruit
Mid afternoon snack 1- veggie
mid afternoon snack 2- Greek yogurt
Dinner- Lean protein, big veggie and small grain serving
Snack- little piece of chocolate.
Focus on healthy food, then build up the amounts you have slowly. At the same time your weight will be coming down
Don't worry about eating your exercise calories right now, worry about hitting your minimum. Then figure out the exercise cals.
Question though, what weight loss goal did you put into MFP? 1lb per week?0
