Hello all!
For those of you who do NOT know me, I am in the business of heart health and so I do quite a bit of reading on heart disease, diagnosis, and all kinds of stuff. You have already taken a huge step in getting on MFP to take control of your diet and exercise hopefully to be the best YOU that you can be! (Cuz you matter!)
I came across this article today as I was doing some work and found it was pretty accurate (on the cardiovascular related field) and that the additional subject/links were provided by well known resources. I felt it did a pretty good job at laying out some of the really important but not well known benefits of mostly exercising but also living well.

Knowledge is power!!! Exercise and eating well has a HUGE effect on keeping the rest of your body healthy! Especially your heart. I can't tell you how many patients I've seen that easily could have helped prevent health issues simply by eating better and getting moving.![:) :)](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Please enjoy and let me know what you think if you so desire![:) :)](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Oh and just if you want a personal example, I get scanned in the lab about 2 to 3 times a week and since I began exercising and eating well, my resting heart rate has dropped 20 beats a minute and I have a "healthier heart contraction". (its not hyperdynamic aka pumping too hard)
