How do you clip in a weave and blend it?!?!

Bought my first weave today, just a clip in. How the crap do I blend this thing? as you can see from my avi i am a hot mess I bought the hat figuring I wouldn't be able to hide the seams in the back very well (I was right) but it's not blending at all through the length. Maybe I should have just bought a full wig and cap.

ya lift up the top layer,lightly tease,then place the clip weave there,..genlty comb down the top layer or use yur fingers to smooth over,if still to long trim it! enjoy!
