What finally worked for you? If you're one of those people that tried EVERYTHING, then finally found something that really helped take the weight off and keep it off, what is it?

I'm starting Kick-boxing in a couple of weeks. Maybe that will be my linch-pin.

Nothing is working for me either. Hoping to leach info off your responses here, Maggie

you constantly need to be changing your exercise regimen. after 4 to 6 weeks your body gets used to a routine, thats why those fad programs do help drop weight in the start but quickly stop working. you plateau. i was using the home elliptical for a while and it worked great, but then stopped working and i swear i coulda stayed on there hours and hardly broke a sweat

i switched to a different model at the gym that has you inclined more and has better resistance and im back to sweating, for now!

also, i switch up my weight routines after a while because your body learns that too

The only thing that helped me was doing the walking dvd's. I started just doing a mile each and then added on 2 and such. sometimes i break it up and do 1 in the monring and 2 at night. or the other way around. I try to change the dvd that i do each workout so that i do a different routine. I have about 5 tapes with all different mile workout as well as using the free exercise tv for walking to help supplement. On Dec 1 i weighed in at 215. Was sick as a dog over the week between christmas and new years and weighed in today at 206.5 by just changing the breakfast i ate and doing the exercise dvd's.
  • I've heard of the walking DVDs, but what are they? If you can tell me who does them or what the title is, I can just look them up on Amazon. Anyone else doing these and getting results?

They are the walking away the pounds dvd by leslie sansone. she has her own website where you can order different dvds weights, etcs. If you can get some of the older dvd's on ebay or amazon for a cheap price, go for it.

At the moment I find using TurboJam great for me but as another poster said after around 5 weeks I will change the dvd's to something else.

Next in line is the ChaLean Extreme - I am dreading that  but I know it will work for me.
