Hello from a College student

Hi there! I'm new. I downloaded the app, and it's pretty cool. I need to kick the Freshman Fifteen out the door that I gained last year, and just eat better in general. It's rough when the food I eat is cafeteria stuff!

I'm less concerned with weight, more so with healthy eating.
And an awesome community might help with that!

Anybody else a college student trying to get healthier or look better?

Hey! Yeah I sure am a college student and familiar with the freshman fifteen! We call it 'Maybomb' because in May it all of sudden hits you.
I just joined up to this site and am also focusing on being healthy more than losing weight. The eating well part is going to be my biggest challenge I think. I actually just moved out of campus accommodation so at least I don't have all that cafeteria temptation!

I'm definitely going to try to live off campus and cook my own meals when I move onto University. Maybe a place with a bit of a walk!
College students have it rough. We sit in class all day, study all night, work all weekend, and still have to find time to stay fit!

I wish! Unfortunately our school forces you to purchase the meal plan if you live on campus, so I need to eat there because I defintiely have no money for groceries :(
But I do try to eat better when I'm there and think about proportions :)

I'm also in post-secondary school and looking to drop a bit of the weight i gained freshman year. It's really difficult to balance eating healthy with a busy school schedule.

I'm also dropping my freshman weight! But I'm also working towards my goal weight - finally making progress. It feels great :) Feel free to add me - working on my last 15 pounds.

I'm in the exact boat, except I'm a senior now and definitely gained twice the freshman fifteen lol. time to shed it all before graduation rolls around
  • When I was in college ours didn't have any sort of gym or track to run around or work out in like many do. I went to community college. So I ALWAYS took the stairs, never the elevator and when I wasn't studying between classes, I'd walk around the college/campus. And I ate at home so cafeteria wasn't much of a worry for me but that stupid mcdonalds was that was just conveniently down the street from the school but too far for walking distance or I would have been late

I was in college 20 years ago. I started my upward trend in weight gain in my freshman year, and It took 20 years for me to finally reverse it. I vividly remember, like it was yesterday, however. We could eat whatever we wanted in the dinning hall...they had chicken breasts, salad and fresh fruit, but i preferred to eat hamburgers and hot dogs. i remember the hot dogs were pink when they put them out on monday, and by thursday they were grey, but they still tasted hella good.

Hi! I am a Uni student. I don't go back to study until January but I am dreading all that trying to fit a healthy lifestyle around studying again, I hate sitting in lectures all day, I would probably be able to concentrate better if they let us sit on stationary bikes or x trainers or something... but nope horrible plastic chairs with dodgy swinging teenie tiny desks :( Should have studied sports :D
Feel free to add me! any other students too!

Hey! I'm just now graduating from college (well university, but got a B.A) and starting graduate school in October. It can be tough staying fit in college but all you need is enough dedication. :)

I approve all requests so if anyone wants some more friends, you can add me. :)
