Hi.
I'm 10-15lbs away from goal and am struggling with getting those last ones to budge. I've been mixing up my routine and trying to cycle my calories etc.
I was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat?
If anyone else is struggling too and would like to start some kind of support group/challenge etc. let me know!!

yes, I am right there with you, I keep fluctuating between like 10 and 7 pounds to go and I just cannot get past that point and it is so discouraging. Let me know what you have in mind.....0

That was me last year. 10 pounds to go. I found that being a nazi about my eating and upping my protein helped! I started the P90X program beginning of last year and followed their recommendations for food and it worked. So now I keep my protein levels at 55% of my calories. See if that helps!! Good luck! (oh, I did loose those last 10 in about 6 months now I'm in maintenence mode).0

I'm in the same boat. Got 8-10 to lose to reach my wedding day weight by 2/15 and they're fighting hard to stay on! I've tried increasing the daily calories a little, decreasing the exercise minutes a little, changing the exercises and ratios between cardio and strength minutes, alternating days between cardio and strength, doing cardio after strength on the same day and vice versa, etc. Even did a few cheat days and no exercise days trying to get the body to give 'em up. My latest attempt is to alternate between cycle and treadmill for the cardio days and throw in new exercises.
Talked to my doctor about it and he wasn't too concerned because everything else is great! Said I'm looking great and have the numbers to match. But at my age, he said don't expect to be able to get rid of the extra loose skin without surgery.
Anybody got an iron? Maybe I can iron away the wrinkles! :laugh:0 -

Haha, I could use an iron for my loose skin too!!0 -
Ok. So this is what I'm thinking.
How about we all post our ideas for what might work in getting this weight loss going again. Then maybe we can tinker with our ratios to meet our own needs and do whatever exercise we think will help.
We can check in with each other, post ideas, triumphs, losses etc. daily or even 2-3 times a week.
My plan is to up my protein, mix up my workouts, and lower my bad carb intake.
Any other ideas?0 -
that sounds perfect, I just received Jillian's burn fat boost metabolism for Christmas and started it last nigt (let me tell you, it killed me and there were quite a few things that I couldn't even do) so I am hoping that that boost will help a bit.....I need to figure out my food, that part of this website I haven't really gotten yet. I am always under on my calories and always over my fat and protein.....
So, do we want to pick tomorrow as a start day and maybe do a daily check in of food, exercise and motivation and then maybe a once a week weigh in?0 -

Sounds good to me!! Tomorrow for a start date is perfect. I am having a "cheat day" on Sunday though because it's my son's 2nd birthday and we've been planning a pizza party.. But I will be super careful!! hehe!!
If anyone else wants to join in, post tomorrow morning with your stats etc. I can keep track if you'd like!0 -
sounds perfect, I think 1 cheat day is ok....I am sure I will have one at some point.....thanks again for doing this, I really think this is going to help....having someone to hold myself accountable to is good (my husband doesn't count, he doesn't have any weight to lose!)0

Yeah my husband too. He can eat whatever he wants, whenever he wants.. Same with my best friend.. Dang people!! LOL!!
I'm excited. It's really nice to have someone to do this with!! I look forward to it!!0
