Should I eat more?

So I know there are probably a billion of these threads out there, but I would appreciate the help in my particular circumstance.
I have lost about 12kg in the past 12 months through diet and exercise, but I haven't lost any weight since June and actually gained a little bit in between. I currently weight about 57kg. I have read threads suggesting eating more calories and I am wondering if this is what I should do.
I recently went to Hawaii for two weeks and decided to forget about my diet for that time and just have fun. I didn't count calories and was eating and drinking a hell of a lot more than I should per day. When I got back, I weighed myself and I had actually lost a little bit of weight (about half a kilo). Since getting home, I have gone back to watching my calories and back to the gym and I have put on a little bit of weight. I know it's not me gaining muscle and losing fat, as my scales measure those too and my muscle has been pretty consistent and I have lost a little fat.
At the moment on the lose 1 pound a week option, mfp has me eating 1260 calories daily. If I exercise, I log it and eat those calories. Should I put it up to my maintenance level and see what happens and if I do, when do I put it back down to lower calories again? Like other people have mentioned, it's just so scary thinking of eating more calories in order to lose weight.
Thanks in advance.
