New to the site. After taking 7 years to focus on being the father of young children (7, 5 and 5), I have decided to train to ride a Century in June. I am a Clydesdale weighing in at 235 (set this goal when I weighed over 240). I have gotten myself hooked on Spinning classes at the gym and can't wait for Spring to get outdoors. So far I am logging spin bike time about 3x per week. Occasional running and swimming to mix it up. I will probably try an indoor triathlon in Spring, and if this all works I would love to try a Super Sprint triathlon at the end of the summer. (Not for time, just to finish) I hoipe to get back down to 200 lbs in the process.
Looking for training advice from experienced riders and hope to find other folks who plan to do their first century this year so we can keep ourselves accountable? Any takers?
