Need a weight loss partner

I've been on a "diet" since I was 12. I grew up feeling ugly and fat. Looking back I regret not realizing how beautiful I was and now, at 24, I really am fat. It sucks to say it but its time I face reality and get serious about losing weight. I have attempted to lose weight since college but have only gained more weight. I am 230 pounds and I would like to be back to 170. I rocked it when I was 170. I need a support person to get me there. I wanna lose 60 Pounds by my 25th birthday because this has even something I've wanted my whole life, confidence in my body. I have reached my personal rock bottom so i can finally appreciate being 170. I need and will not let this be another attempt. Does anyone else wanna join in and be a support group for each other??

Hi! I have used MFP before but have been gone from it for a long while. I am now ready to get back and regain the happy/good feelings I had when I was moving more, being more aware of what I was eating and (wonderful benefit!) losing weight. I am really hoping to get some friends who will actually offer support this time around. What I mean is, I appreciate people's comments (like "good job!" and "your dinner looks delicious!"), but I would REALLY like to have one (or maybe more) person who will really be a support/accountability buddy. If you think this would work for you, let me know!0
