    No it is not.

    For American's anyway.

    Asian/European markets...You're on your own.

Correct! And what they call "bacon" is NOT what we call bacon!

Thank you for helping to thwart the spread of misinformation!

I work in meat procurement...I literally trade millions of pounds of both beef and pork on a daily basis. If anything the kill is up, compensating for the loss during the cattle pullback when corn price spiked. I've been buying at much cheaper prices and our analyst project record lows well through the holiday season.

The media and their ignorance...If you don't know about something...Just stfu yanno?

BSE (madcow), FTB (pink slime), now this? C'mon Man..

WTH does corn have to do with bacon? Lol.

Cornmeal is a primary resource of feedlots for livestock here in the USA.

Just read this story on Time. I'm going to have to start hoarding my Bacon!

    http://newsfeed.time.com/2012/09/26/start-hoarding-now-a-global-bacon-shortage-is-coming/?hpt=hp_c3

And they called me mad for eating turkey bacon!

If you saved all the food scraps people leave on their plates in every restaurant in America, you could feed enough pigs so that everyone could have some bacon.

Well that's a relief. I thought I might have to eat my dress.

I love bacon who don’t, but as often as I eat it I don’t care what it cost. Ever try making your own beef jerky?
