OK, you have a convert! I just calculated everything out today and under the Katch-McArdle Formula my BMR is 1421 and moderately active gives me a number of 2544 - 20% I get 2035 and am aiming for anywhere between 2000 - 2100 for a daily goal. I switched my activity level here up from sedentary to moderate but I am still getting fitbit adjustments. 20,000 steps a day is never really out of the question, right now I'm at 18,498 and I still have to go grocery shopping! Fitbit has me already burning 2235 for the day and that is not counting the additional 200 calories I burnt working out above what fitbit thinks for that hour (fitbit has 350 burnt for the step amount in that hour but HRM will give me 550). So, needless to say I still am getting a calorie adjustment in my exercise. Should I up my activity level to very active to avoid getting the adjustment or just ignore it?? Or, put my feet up and grab a glass of wine?! I never realized how active I was!!
