it takes repetition to build a habit. You're out of the habit. Start again and it will become a habit again. You have to force it initially, but then you need it.

    You didn't.

You only went wrong if you don't get off your tail and go tomorrow.

    Go tomorrow!!! :-)

    Good luck!!!

Did you track what you ate? When you can't exercise, you need to be extra vigilant about what you eat.

you didnt do anything wrong. you just need to get back on the horse. you did a great job the first time around and you can do it again:)
  • I've been there too.. I allowed myself to gain 50 pounds in 2 years after I'd just lost 30... so now I'm kicking myself into gear to win a local weight loss competition. Hang in there, you can do it. Just think, if you lose a single pound a week, on average, you can lose 50+ pounds in a year!!
  • Obviously the hospital mistaken removed it during the surgery. Better sue!

But seriously, this happens to me all the time --super motivated when I am crazy busy, lazy when I have nothing better to do, That's why I have a base routine that I stick to no matter what. Even if it hurts, even if I'd rather cry -- yeah.

ETA: But I get you just had surgery. Just start again tomorrow. It will come back eventually.
  • Why you? That's just the way life has its way of knocking you down now again. I hope that you have made (or will make) a full recovery from your surgery. I don't know the extent of what you've been through and you must be careful but you have to take the knocks that life throws at you sometime (yes, easy for me to say). You've done it before, its only been six weeks and you can do it again. We all get knocked down sometime, its been your turn and now its your turn to get back up. You will get through this and you will use your story to inspire someone one day. I have not been through what you have but one day you will meet someone who has, and you will use your success story to help them.
  • Oh yeah, been there. When you put on weight, you feel more lethargic and it's easy to make excuses to skip the exercise. Take it slow, maybe walking, then add some strength training, then add 20 minutes on the elliptical, etc. You'll begin to feel better and it will get easier. The first step is what's important and set reasonable goals.
