Can you people give me suggestions on foods having good amount of fibre and protein??? I tried my best eating some protein but my fibre intake is low... my leg ankle got a bit ache due to much running.... i felt it's normal but slowly it became worse and then i realised it was due to very low fibre or 0 fibre....

P.S.: i am a vegetarian.

I've always heard black beans are a good fiber and protein source.

I make a lot of stews/soups/curries and practically put my bodyweight of beans and lentils into it. I use just about every bean you can think of! Except I don't buy the mixed sets as they all cook at different times and I hate them :)

My faves are butter, black eyed, chickpea and red lentils. Don't whiz them down as that will help the fibre part too.

I don't seem to eat enough protein so I have gone out and bought bulk of tofu :) need it for the weights programme am starting.

    Hi,

If you take a look at the dried or tinned beans and pulses, nuts and seeds. Many of these can be added to casseroles and salads to add protein and fibre. there are many type of high fibre cracker that can be eaten with vegetarian cheese. then you have your soy products, quorn products and eggs.

Quick look at your diary, eat more , unless of course you are , and just have not logged it?

Do you eat dairy ? Quark is hi in protein , lentils , beans, nuts and quinoa !(similar to rice)

Especially as you are a young woman min calories is 1200

    Good luck on your journey
