Here's a little about me...

I have been over weight since the age of 16, and altho i kept active i never had control of my weight.

A month ago my life got ripped apart when the love of my life told me she didn't love me anymore and that she had feelings for someone else. As you could imagine i pretty messed up and still have good and bad days.

During the last month i've started going back to the gym, i traine 5 days a week. Also with what has happened i find myself off food, and tbh only eat because i know my body needs something to keep going. The last month i lost 17 lbs, this is of course a combination of less food and more excersise.

I have always wanted to be in shape and with recent events I certainly have the time to concentrate on 'me'. Part of me wonders whether me controlling my weight is me trying to regain control of something after she turned my world upside down. Either way I'm here to forgue a new me a better me and then after the healing process is complete i should be the person I want to be and find the girl ment for me and not one that wants to destroy me.

Sorry if part of that sounds a bit bitter lol.

So hopefully with each others suport we can all reach our goals and ultimatly a better life.

Thanks

Al

hey, I'm new to the site too and am obsessed. ok obsessed may be a bad thing but it really seems to be helping already, just being able to record my good and bad habits then maybe I'll finally get it. I find this to be a great way to bring positive people and input into my new lifestyle! Good luck with your goals, I think you'll enjoy it here!!

Hang in there...I know it's tough (my wife of 18 years is asking me for a separation that may become permanent  ). It's hard to not feel down and have bad days but it's maybe our moment to get back in touch with ourselves, to control those things that we can in our lives and accept those that we can't.

I guess that's what a lot of what we deal with through this site is about, in the sense that our different bodies respond in different ways to the same things, etc., but the process is pretty much the same for all of us.

Remember you deserve all the best and you've made GREAT progress in just one month, wow! Keep it up.
