Are HRM worth it?

Hi everyone
I have been exercising for a long time. I have been putting in my exerises in MFP categories and eating back some or most of the calories. I was thinking of getting a Polar HRM to get a more accurate count of calories burned. Just wondering if they are pretty accurate? Do they keep track of calories during yoga and resistance training?
Thanks!

not really, they are only accurate for steady state cardio. Like running or cycling (without coasting.)
As far as worth it? I used mine a couple times... then never again.0
