also has anyone ever tired carob? i know its used as a "safe dog chocolate" and i did a little googling about it, but was wondering if anyone had some first hand experience with it..

You can find the noodles in most stores. They are...um...not for everyone. Some people like them and others can't stand them. Word of warning, make sure that you open these over the sink in a collander and rinse the sh@t out of them. And then do it again. They have a distinct odor that is said to be natural :noway: ...but Im not convinced. lol.
I used to live with a girl who I swear could be dropped off in a forest and survive on her own for months (totally in tune with mother nature) and she used to love carob. I don't mind it, its bitter, but it is no substitute for the good stuff0 -
I bought some Shirataki Noodles and couldn't get past the smell. They may have tasted just fine once everything was prepared but I'm such a weirdo that once I get a bad impression like that, I can't force myself to eat it. I had to throw them away.0

I haven't tried them yet but I want to. I hear they smell fishy and can be slimy so like they said above. WASH AND RINSE! A LOT.0
