Needing more motivated friends

I've been at this for a while now, and have had success, failure and now success again. I joined before and only lasted for a few weeks before giving up. But this time I had several "friends" who motivated me through their diet plans and exercise. I'd see that they were exercising and think to myself "get up off your butt girl, time to move". But so many of them have moved on or quit logging. I start seeing less and less posts and updates and I've started to lose motivation. I do have friends that still are hightly motivated and motivating, I'm not saying anything negative about you!!
I try and eat healthy. Sometimes I eat bad foods, have a dish of icecream or pizza. If I crave something I'll usually indulge, but in moderation and usually only when my calories are allotted. I drink alcohol ::gasp:: but again in moderation. But I sweat every day for 45 min and stay within my calories (or try). Sometimes I go over, but it's not the end of the world. Honestly, if this is going to be a lifestyle change, this is what is going to work for me. I've dropped 35lbs since June, when I started actively logging and exercising again. I've watched my family start losing weight b/c they see me and are starting to get motivated. I just started weight training, yikes, so much to learn.
I love watching others success and doing this journey together. I try and be supportive as I can. Watching others success makes me work harder. You don't feel so alone and islolated in the process, it's better with a group, an active group.
I'm also a mom, a full time working mom. I have learned to love getting up at 5 and going for a jog or walk. I have learned that I am the one who will motivate my daughter to have a healthy lifestyle and that she's not going to grow up being unhealthy and overweight b/c I'm going to teach her how to be healthy.
Despite the way you are successful and losing weight, if you think you need can relate to my journey add me and I'll try and help as I can. Seeing your success and feeling less alone in the journey will be helpful to me.
Best of luck!

Great job on your weight loss, and I'm always on here everyday completely motivated and losing my weight. I had to shift my schedule from going to sleep at 10am and waking up at 8pm to going to sleep at 10pm and waking up at 6am. It feels soooo much better to wake up and see the sun rise.
My mom is also overweight and I'm trying to inspire her.0 -
I definitely can relate. I was on here a few years ago and had a lot of success. I ran a half marathon! And like you I saw my family and friends getting motivated by me to make healthy changes in their own lives. Although I am not sure how I let it happen, I have since gained back what I have lost. I am back on MFP for a new start to find the old me. I could definitely use a friend to make the journey less lonely. Thanks for your post0
