I am 50 years old, do assembly work for a car plant. I am currently layed off for 10 months. I have been told I need both hips replaced, also one knee acts up. I find it hard to walk but I can. (havent tried yet) I would like to weigh 175, currently 210.(5'11'') I have been off work for 2 months now, decided its time to do something about it, starting today. I'm not very active since I have been off work, TV and shovelling snow. (snowblower) I have very little energy and think it will be difficult to motivate myself, but I will try. I like to snack most of the night while watching all the sports I used to play. I hope I can find an exercise routine I can stick to, also cut out the snacking on sweets and junk food.

Congrats for starting! Your message sounds like you've got great conviction... I found it very inspiring to look around at people's profiles... 10 lbs lost, 30 lbs lost, 70 lbs lost... it is possible!
    Good luck!
