Elliptical from drive vs rear- price???

Hello all I have been wanting an elliptical for quite awhile. Yesterday someone at my work knows someone with one to sell. It is an electrical Nordictrack e7 front drive for $250. Does any one know if front drive is better, worse or the same and does the price sound reasonable??
