I'm trying to get into routine in planning my meals. I'm having a BLT without the T :ohwell: Don't really like maters lol. I have a calorie intake of 1400. This still leaves me 532 calories, 75 carbs, 19 fat and 17 protein. Is 532 calories too big of a deficit for me not to eat them? Plus, a BL/T is kinda bland..I need some ideas MFP'ers!!!

Jennie-Oe - Extra Lean Turkey Bacon, 3 Slice 60
Lettuce - Iceberg, Raw, 1 Large Leaf 2
Harveys - 100% Whole Wheat, 2 slice 100
Great Value - Light Ranch Dressing, 2 Tbsp 80
Kraft Singles - American Cheese, 1 slice (19g) 60

Overall Calories 302

Mmmmm....I haven't had a BLT in a long time... That sounds yummy!!
YOu should really try to eat ALL of your calories + any exercise calories that you "earn"...
I LOVE chicken, so I eat a lot of boneless, skinless chicken breast with veggies.... You can really vary this anyway you want... There are thousands of chicken recipes... Last night I made Lemon Peppered Chicken Breast... I just added Lemon Peppered seasoning to my chicken breast and baked them (I rubbed them with a light olive oil + the seasoning) ... and you can really mix it up with your veggies...
Also, to help me get in my calories and keep me from feeling deprived, I buy those 100 calorie snacks at walmart... They have all kinds of them...I get mine on the "cracker aisle" at our store
Good luck!!! Make sure your drinking lots of water.... Oh, and speaking of water.... I gave up Cokes, so to still feel like I"m getting a treat every now and then, I use the Crystal LIght packets... HUGE variety and I really like them... :drinker:
  • Try having some sides with your BL. Try a grain salad with vegetables and some fruit or something to that effect.
Good luck! BLTs are awsome, i might make one for dinner! :)

What about a side dish? That sandwich alone wouldn't be enough for me and i'd be hungry 2 hours later. Maybe some sort of veggie? I think raw carrots would be good with a BLT.
  • all these suggestions sound yummy..i love veggies,i love chicken, & i love rice!! I think I have a game plan!!! Thanks!!! :drinker:
  • You should eat all your calories...and if your weight doesn't budge after a week, leave like 50 extra a day and see if that does the trick. If so, stay there, if not go to 100 etc. 500 is way to many, your metabolism is slowing down :( For dinner ideas go to www.myrecipes.com search low cal or healthy or quick whatever. So helpful and it gives nutritional info and portion size :)
