Class on Emotional Eating

At the suggestion of my of my esteemed MFP friends, I'm sharing through my MFP blog the gist of a class my company offered. I'm fortunate enough that my company offers classes through a program they call Better Health. A recent class was on the topic of Emotional Eating.

Eating is a complicated process. One would think that people would only eat when they are hungry.However, there are many other reasons that cause people to eat besides physical hunger. One of the reasons people eat when they are NOT hungry is Emotional Eating. In my blog starting with the posting on Tuesday, Sept 25th titled "Class On Emotional Eating"; I'm publishing the gist of what I learned. As I spoke with and shared this information with some of my MFP friends, they suggested I post the information to help others that might also struggle with Emotional Eating. The topic was TOO long for one blog entry. As such, I will break it out over a 3-4 postings. As of today, I've posted on the initial into about the class and a second posting on Signs of Emotional Eating.     I am finding this really helpful, and I am learning alot about my own eating through this. It is making me realise the signs too, whereas before I never even gave it a thought.

    Thank you for sharing this, I already KNOW that I am an emotional eater, I'm just trying to learn how to deal with it! Will definitely read your blogs and see what I can learn :smile:
