Trying to lose these last 13 lbs of baby weight. ugh. haven't been able to for 2 months now. I just stopped losing weight, no matter diet/exercise whatever. so frustrated. what worked before pregnancy when I was getting married ( years ago) is NOT working now. I know it's mostly diet, I have been doing weight watchers for 2 months..... 2 lbs lost.
I exercise at least 3 times a week. I know I need to do more, but, I literally do not have the time between a 45 minute work commute one way, a newborn, and letting my husband workout on the days I'm not (we switch so that one of us is watching her while the other has personal time.). frustrated.

How old is your daughter? Are you nursing? Do you find that you're hungry constantly? I had a lot of trouble losing the baby weight after my first. I think it was a combination of factors. It was partially because I was always hungry when I was nursing her, so I'm sure I was eating way too many calories. On top of that, I had never had any trouble losing weight before so my method of "just eat a little less" simply wasn't cutting it. Then, because I didn't know what I was doing, I started eating a LOT less. I lost some weight, then stopped losing. I got really frustrated, finally found MFP, and finally lost all the weight.
After my second (now 7 months old), it's been a lot easier for me. Partially because I wasn't hungry all the time while I was nursing, and that made a huge difference. But I also knew what to do and how many calories I should be eating, so I skipped the whole eating-too-much-then-not-enough roller coaster.
Exercise is great for your health, but it's not actually necessary for weight loss. As long as you eat within your calorie goals, you will lose weight. Also, can you work in time to exercise including your baby? Like put her in the stoller or the carrier and go for a walk? This time of year is great to get outdoors in the evening. Another option would be to trade off watching the baby in the same day. Like I used to come home and do my workout immediately after work, before dinner. DH would watch the girls and get dinner started. Then we'd eat, hang out, and then my younger daughter goes to bed around 7:30. After that DH would work out and I'd play with our older daughter. Now I've shifted to lifting weights and we both work out after the baby goes to bed. My older daughter is old enough that she can be in the room with us but stay out of the way.0 -
She is 4 months old. I run with her and walk with her in a jogging stroller. I do Jillian Michaels DVD's when she is napping in the evening. I stopped breast feeding a month ago when I returned to work, couldn't pump effectively (it's hard when you are a social worker who makes house calls), I understand that working out is an added bonus. I'm trying to tone back up. I was running 4 miles every other day till I was 4 months pregnant and then started walking when I became too pregnant. I hadn’t gained but 15 lbs by the time I reached the 3rd trimester. But, I developed preeclampsia at the end and had EXTREEM edema so I couldn’t even walk in the evenings. I gained 40 lbs in just water weight by the end. It was rough especially with an unexpected c-section. But, I’ve been working on these last 15 lbs and just wish that something would budge. I could eat more veggies right now, but, overall I’m doing what I did when I was losing weight for my wedding 2 years ago. I was 130 when I got pregnant and want to be back there. I know my hips are wider now and that I won’t be exactly the same shape (I’m realistic about it). Just want to know other mother’s tips/advice.0
