Epic Fail

I am sure this is not news to anyone that pays close attention to food labels. I have wondered why I have struggled so much the last few years to lose weight once I get past a certain point. I just figured it out! Two of my staples that I use excessively are loaded with calories. The biggest being I cant believe its not butter spray and splenda. It would not really effect a person much who used it in moderation. I cannot believe I have been duped by advertising. I cannot believe butter spray is 900 calories per bottle and I was going through 2-3 per week, and I was using 1-2 cups of splenda!

Chalk it up as a learning experience. Now you know and you can use your new knowledge moving forward.

usually food substitutes are no better (or much worse) than the original "bad" food. But I wouldn't call it an epic fail, I'd call it an epic learn. You won't make those mistakes again!

I am going to start using the real stuff, it will be so much easier to track that way. I can already feel a difference in my body, its deflating from all the crap! It baffles me how I was ever able to get in shape (pre baby) pouring that stuff all over my broccoli....I am still getting over the shock of it....I am doing a 2 week challange with my dh, no sweetener. After that I will use splenda in moderation, by the packet instead of by the cup full. If it seems to good to be true, it probably is!
