My dad asked me to text my mom and so while I was texting, the text before was them talking.
Mom: "After Karate, can you do a foot massage?"
Dad: "No, can only do ****ate."
Parents are so gross and weird...

    Thank god both my parents basically just put up with each other and live together despite not really liking each other most of the time, like zombie roommates.

    I've never had to listen to or walk in on anything like that.

    Okay, so this wasn't exactly said TO my stepfather, but it was pretty shocking. I was playing drunken Scrabble with my mom when I was about 16 (she was drunk, I wasn't) and she was complaining about him. I asked her what she saw in him, and she looked at me with a smirk and said "Well, he's got a big ****."

    OK THANKS MOM, YOU WIN I'M GOING TO BED.

    There was also this time we had dial-up, and I was on the phone with my boyfriend, and all of a sudden KRRSSHHHTT BREEEEAPPP KRRSHHTTTT. I said goodbye and went downstairs, where my mother was sitting in front of my computer with Netscape (may it rest in peace) open, a couple of her giggling female friends standing behind her. She looked at me, her 14-year-old daughter at the time, completely matter-of-factly and asked, "how would I go about finding pictures of naked men and their, um, penises?"

    my parents were gorgeous and adorable and really sexy and vibrant for life and just so in love that it didnt come across as gross. It actually taught me that its normal for there to be MORE passion after marriage and MORE sex and flirting and lust and adoration as years pass by, that sex isnt just something you use to get a ring before you make babies. Its how you stay close forever.

    I may have made ewwwww faces at them when I was a teenager, but now that Im the age they were when that conversation happened... I grew up understanding that being hot for your husband is a damn good thing.

    At a family wedding, my uncle was in a cast with a broken leg, and my stepmom had broken her leg the year before. So she was giving him advice on the healing process, living with the cast, etc.

    My stepmom said to my uncle, "Baths can be fun." I don't think she actually winked but I SWEAR I heard a gross wink in her voice. Ewwwww.

    I introduced my best friend Jen to my parents after my father got out of the hospital for heart trouble last year. She asked him how his heart was. He said, well it depends on what Bri's mother is doing to me at the moment, turned and winked at my mom.

    You can say my parents are inappropriate and traumatizing, but I love that they are so in love.

    We were on vacation once when I was about 13...drove by a sign for "Climax, CO." Dad turns to mom and says, "thought that happened at about midnight last night..." chuckle chuckle giggle giggle. Thought I was too young to understand...obviously I wasn't because it's 20 years later and I've never forgotten.

    I love couples that still find each other attractive and desirable. Just because they are parents doesn't mean they aren't human beings, lol! I grew up in a backwards house and that creeps me out much more.

    My dad used to tell me a story about when he and my mom were first married and (as he put it ) youg dumb and full of c**....

    They were at my mothers moms house spending the night. My dad flopped and the bed and it squeeked really loudly.My mom looked at my dad and said dont you dare. Then my dad grinned and started bouncing up and down on the bed really hard for like 20 min. My grandma knocked on the door afterwards and handed my mom a wet washcloth and a towel.MY dad started craking up and my mom couldnt stop blushing for a week everytime her mom looked at her.

    it wasn't said to me but to my 20ish year old son (and of course, he HAD to tell me)......he went to pick up a bed in their spare bedroom for his new apartment.....he remarked that the bed looked pretty frail and was worried that it wouldn't stand up to his vibrant sex life...but my 80ish mother told him that she and Grampa had wild sex on that bed more than once and it would do just fine.....he NEARLY refused it right there....

    I always got the impression that my parents were deeply in love (one anothers' only sweethearts) - they've been married 64 years now.

    We also as children got the impression that they had a happy sex life, and quite likely swung on the chandeliers etc... but not when we were around. Nor did they tell us the detail. Affectionate, caring, touching in front of your children yes; graphic physical demonstrations no.

    And I still don't like people doing lots of grappling and deep kissing in social situations even now - that sort of intimacy is private, and I think "get a room, please".

    Oh my goodness! You rock! Thank you for posting this! My boyfriend and I both grew up with our parents not even liking sex with eath other, my mom just had sex to get kids and my dad was a porno addict who didn't want my mom. My boyfriend and I are always talking about how we are going to raise our kids and are always wondering where we will draw the line. We want our kids to grow up sexually secure and having a healthy perspective about sexuality rather than all the shame and secrecy I grew up with. If you really feel that your parents guided you in being sexually healthy, I want to learn from them!

    My mom, dad and I were on a flight to Vegas. I had my headphones on but either the music was stopped or I was changing songs or something and my mom said to my dad "Want to join the mile high club?" Gross.
