Better in what regards? Their main difference is speed of digestion0 -

I had sort of decided that the cassein which digests slower would be better to maintain fullness longer...does that really make any difference when it comes to weight loss / muscle building?0 -
I think the idea (although I am not sure it is 100% scientifically proven to be true) is that you need a slower absorbing protein when you have a long stretch before your next meal. So ideally, take casseine before going to bed. Whey and other faster absorbing proteins are needed before or after a workout to get the protein in your system faster...not sure if I agree with it or not but that is the idea.0

thanks for explaining it. I guess I will just try one for a while and see how it goes - the same approach as I took with losing weight. I did some research and discovered the first ingredient when selecting a whey protein product should be Whey Isolate or something else I cannot recall. The grams of protein per serving should be 80-90% of the serving (so, divide grams of protein by the number of grams in the entire serving and the result should be higher than .80). I found a product with 83% protein, whey isolate is the first ingredient, and it is only $19.99! I'll start them tomorrow.0
