I joined here in January of this year and started of really well. However, February my hubby had a week off work and I struggled to get back on track. Then in April we had a major decision to make about whether we wanted to keep going with the fertility treatments and for three month I didn't know where we were headed. I managed to gain back 10 of the 22lb I had lost. In July we made the decision to continue and I got back on track and have lost weight since.

I decided to come back to MFP and hope that I can reach my goal still which was to be down to 145lb by the end of the year. I started at 207lb and I'm currently 167lb. I struggled for several months so I am hoping, with some determination, to get there.

I last saw my fertility specialist in November 2011 and he told me I needed to bring my BMI down from 31 as I will not receive certain medical treatments and I needed to quit smoking. My last cigarette was November 15th 2011 and my BMI is now under 25! I want to get it to 22 ideally to allow some room for clothes and different scales.

I am looking for friends here to help with support etc and of course, I can be counted on for support etc too.

  • Welcome! That's great what you've done so far, but that 8lbs you gained will be gone in no time. I'm always on and motivated and motivating as much as I can, so I'll go ahead and send a request. Goodluck on the rest of your journey.

    Funnily enough, I weighed myself again today and I had lost 7 of them. :-S I expected to gain this week though as my hubby was off work for a week and rather than make him eat my foods I indulged with him and had pizza, Chinese, kebab, sticky toffee pudding and custard. Lol. I expected to gain 1-2lb. Must admit, I feel much better now.
