achilles tendonitis getting me down

Hi, my name is Lauren and I'm actually a very active individual, but unfortunately I ran a marathon last March and ended up with a bout of achilles tendoinitis in both legs. It has been a real bummer getting through it, but every doctor kept telling me to run, that is until I just recently visited the podiatrist after taking a 6 week break from running. I joined because now that I can't run it is hard for me to keep weight off, I'm only 5'2" and used to eating quite a lot between triathlons and running events. I've been really bummed out since I can't run or cycle and it may be months before I can participate in these sports again. I am trying hard to keep my calories in check and keep myself aerobically entertained through swimming, stationary cycling, rowing, pilates, yoga, and weight lifting. I really need help and motivation to try and get back down to my usual race weight and then some, and to keep a positive attitude. I look forward to hearing people's stories as I try to meet my fitness goals
