Does anyone know if (and if so, how much) draining and rinsing canned beans saves on calories? I know it cuts down on sodium but I'm not sure if it has any substantial impact on calories. I've tried Googling it but can't find an answer.

Thanks y'all. I didn't figure it did but it never hurts to check. Every calorie counts, right? I drive my hubby bonkers when I check the calories on breath mints:laugh:0

I think you may be able to figure that out by looking at the calories of a serving of the dry beans vs the calories for the canned beans.0
