Question about eating back what I exercise.

So I understand that if I'm burning all these extra calories at day at the gym on top of my active lifestyle that I should be eating more to help my body out.

Unfortunately, I'm starting to run out of food in the house and my bank account is in the negative until Monday. I also get my food stamps on Monday too. Seriously seems like forever from now... anyhow here's my situation:

I'm rationing my food and making it stretch as much as I can, usually ending up around 1200-1300 the past few nights but it leaves me with about 400/500 calories left. So here's my question... should I stop working out while I know that I can't eat enough? I really like working out and I don't want to just stop for the next few days ): But I don't want to hurt my body either if that's what I'm doing.

can you just slow down a bit on the exercise.. don't quit it all together but just don't go as hard...i think if you do it frequently ( not eat enough) it will eventually catch up with you. so it's better to still exercise just not as hard when the food budget is low.

I agree with above poster...cool it on the working out for now, maybe even in the form of less intense workouts. A nice walk will get you moving around without burning so many calories that you overspend calorically or in cash.

scrounge some change and go buy a bag of beans.
Only eat if you're hungry. Contrary to what some believe you won't spontaneously combust or get abducted by the calorie Calvary.

I agree you don't have to stop but maybe step it down a notch. It's only 2 days till Monday so resting one for those 2 days won't hurt you and the other day just take a nice long walk. Not only will the less vigorous exercise fit your calorie budget better but it's a different kind of workout than your body is used to and it might shake things up for you which is always good. Don't want to get in a rut.
