I was just listening to my favourites play list and it got me thinking about what memories songs bring back to you?
I have a few special songs they are.................
Rocking all over the world by Status Quo brings back memories of the carefree summer of 1977
Every Day Hurts by Sad Cafe memories of my first school girl crush.
Cherish by Cool and the gang first dance at our wedding in 1985
Heaven is a place on Earth by Belinda Carlisle No 1 in the UK charts the day my daughter was born in 1988
I will do anything for love by Meatloaf No 1 in the UK charts when 2nd daughter was born in 1993
Truly Madly Deeply by Savage Garden memories of a fabulous holiday at Fort Myers Beach Florida
I have also told everyone that I want Heaven is a place on Earth and Truly Madly Deeply played at my funeral!

The only song that has any special meaning to me is All I Ask of You by Tony Toni Tone. There is a sentence in the chorus that says I LOVE YOU DEJA and my daughter's name is Deja. Every time I hear that song I smile. Other than that I don't place a lot of memories on songs. Mine are mostly tied to smells. Lavender always reminds me of my grandma. Dog food reminds me of my favorite job...strange I know.0

Fleetwood Mac - Little Lies (for reasons know only to my husband and myself!
Johnny Cash - The first time ever I saw your face - Our wedding first dance
Alice Cooper - Poison - Pure nostalgia
Nirvana - Nevermind - Teenage parties!
Bob Marley - Three little birds - reminds me of honeymoon
Bob Dylan - Like a Rolling Stone - first live gig I went to with my husband, stood in a field listening to 50,000 people singing along to one of my favourite songs, with the man I love - thinking about it makes the hairs on my arms stand on end....
The Beatles - Let it be - played at my Nannas funeral, and always reminds me of her
I could go on foever....but I'll shut up now lol!0 -
