Question for you exercise gurus

I work out 6 days a week and over the long haul I feel incredibly better. Now I hear all the time about how energized and invigorated people feel after their work out. I work hard enough to be drenched in sweat and my target heart rate is always reached and maintained during my work out. When I am done though, I certainly don't feel energized. I feel rubbery, exhausted, and just flat weird. I do notice I have more energy throughout the day later on. Am I doing something wrong??

I've wondered this as well - I get a good sweat doing cardio/strength training but never feel that 'high'... not even when I was running - I'm working up to running again but hate it... sorry, guess not very helpful0

I am exhausted after a personal training session, so I hear you! Sometimes my legs can barely carry me back to the office, lol :-)0

I think it might be one of those "in absence of" type things. Because, no, I don't feel energized after a workout. I feel like a nap. Buuuuuuut, on the days that I don't work out, I feel awful. Downright terrible. I suspect the without the endorphin rush I don't have anything to mask the pain and fatigue. So on days that I work out, I definitely feel better than days that I don't. But energized? No. Just no.
Perhaps we're both doing it wrong.0 -
LOL. Well I guess it's just good to know I am not the only one. I do agree. I feel awful on days I don't work out! The last two days I haven't been able to get away from work long enough to do my hard work outs. Tomorrow is another day! Thanks for the responses!0
