School / pell grants / student loans

Well this topics didn't belong anywhere else that's for sure lol. But I do have a question and I'm sure some of you have had experience with this. Okay so... After a student loan is applied how long until the remainder gets deposited ?? My school uses higher one its like a debit card so we get it the day it's released. Also I've got a temporary pell grant? What in the world is this and when the hell do they apply it? Lol any help would be nice
