I just upped my calorie goals because, per a variety of calculators, the 1210 recommended by MFP was below my BMR. I've been on this weight-loss journey before and managed to lose weight quickly (and then put it all back on, plus a little more), so I really want to be sensible this time, so I really don't want to lose more than 1 pound a week. I was religious about tracking everything this month and exercising, and even with eating back all of my exercise calories, I've lost nearly 8 pounds in the last month. From all I've read that's a too fast and unsustainable in the long run. I want the changes I make to my lifestyle to be those that I can use in the long term, and I just don't think I can continue at this lower rate.
Anyway, it's a little terrifying purposely upping calories when I still have more than 20 pounds to go, so again, wish me luck!

Good luck
Upping calories isn't a bad thing, as long as you know your body truely needs and will use it.
