What is the best way to ripen and store avocados?

    To ripen put them in a brown bag in a dark place(be careful once they start, theyll be ready very fast)...once you cut it, leave the pit in the unused portion, plastic wrap & put in fridge... has always worked for me :)

    To ripen them, put them in a brown paper bag with an apple. The apple gives off a gas that helps them ripen. I store them in the fridge when ripe and wrap them tightly if cut. The oxidize and turn brown quickly if exposed to air.

    Me too; or a ripe banana seems to work even faster.
  • i was gonna suggest the brown bag and a banana, but someone already did...
    to store them, just sit 'em on the counter or windowsill
