Weight dropping off!

So, I have been eating well (sodium's been high though) and working out (2 strength days, 2-4 cardio days per week), and I was losing weight fairly slow. I was fine with that because I knew I was building muscle. Suddenly, in the last week (since last Saturday), according to my scale I have lost 2.7 pounds! Is it normal to hit a point where the weight just starts melting off? I am so cautious about not losing too quickly, because I don't want a lot of loose skin. I am hoping that slow and steady will give my skin time to tighten up along with the rest of me! Anyway, enough babbling... Is this normal?

I stay within a 1 lb range and then lose weight in bunches.0

From everything I've read and heard, weight loss happens in spurts.. so it sounds fairly normal. But I'm no expert on healthy weight loss. :-) Congrats on yoiur progress!0

That's not too fast especially since you've been slow and steady the whole time. I say enjoy this little victory!0

I tend to lose weight like that. I lose 1/2 a pound here and 1/2 a pound there and then I'll even go up a little and then suddenly drop 2-3 pounds. I'm one of those people who weigh daily (because I personally find I get a better idea of how I'm doing in general over a week that way) but I always keep my eye on the overall trend and as long as it's downward, I'm happy.0

Absolutely there are so many variables that enter in to this that drops like this are fairly normal I can do a long hard run and stay about the same with alot of fluids in the muscles helping recovery and flushing the lactic acid and then a day or so later can drop 2 pounds as fluids flush out of me so bounces are normal sometimes up as well as down so if trend is down I keep smiling0
