I am new to this lifestyle and know some things to eat like fruit, veggies, yogurt, chicken, salmon, and whole grain. But what else can I eat? I hear people talk about protein shakes and i dont know what that is or if I need one. I'm just so illiterate to this new lifestyle and it seems overwhelming. I need like a getting healthy for dummies book or something lol.....HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and starting out, how much exercise do i need? im 33 and the mother of 3 and cant remember the last time i worked out...i see everyone posting before/after pix, so i took my before pix tonight and they look awful, cant wait to see my after pix

here is a link to a grocery list!!

you can also use google as your best friend in finding healthy recipes :)

as far as exercise goes, dont overdo it. try strength training 3x week and cardio 3-4x week (depending on goals)

here is a link to a beginner site to exercise

Eat whatever you like, just play around with different combinations of foods until you find what best fits/completes your daily calorie and macro goals.

As far as exercise, you don't need to do any to lose weight, though there are numerous other health benefits.

Don't overwhelm yourself by trying to understand everything right from the get go. Eat better, move more, and figure things out as you go.
