Just wondering has anyone set their goal calories to maintain my weight and just tried to stay under that,

I'm back here after throwing my weight loss plan out the window about 6 months ago and now want to start back up and want to lose weight real slowly because the moment I become to obessive and start counting to many calories I burn out and give up

I was thinking I would simply just try to not to eat over my allocated calories to maintain my weight and try and stay under as much as I can and hope that I start seeing a drop in weight even if it isnt large numbers, of course I will add excercise to that as well etc etc

Just wondering if anyone else has done this and did it work at all?

I set mine to lose .5 pounds/week for a similar reason. It lets me see an upper level (1700ish)where I will lose weight, but I tend to hover around 1400-1600/day.

    It's all psychological!
