Have you consistently lost 1# a week for over 6 months?

I have been losing 1# every 7 - 10 days for the last 2 months. I have my weight loss set at 2#s per week but I find it hard to maintain 1200 calories a day. (If I ate back exercise calories, I would never lose weight!) I usually average 1500-1600 calories. I am wondering how many people with 50 + pounds to lose have kept up a steady weight loss of 1# per week? It is slower than I like, but in the long run that will be 24 more pounds off by April (if I don't eat too much over the holidays!) How many calories did you eat to lose 1# per week?

Started in May but the average has actually been almost exactly 1 pound a week0

Mine has been 1 per week too, and I'm totally bummed by it for some odd reason. I guess cause when I was younger it would just come off, and now that I'm in my 30's my body is making me work for it. Hopefully I'll appreciate it more and keep it up!0

Been on my new lifestyle for 38 months with an avg. weight loss of 2 lbs. a week and I Do Eat Back my exercise calories. I view my exercise calories as fuel for my body and to fuel my workouts nothing to do with my weight loss that deficit is already figured in.... Slow and steady wins the race..... Best of Luck....0

If I can average them out, yes...some weeks I've lost more some less or nothing.0

To lose my weight I consistently ate 1200 calories and didn't eat back my exercise calories. I lost 10 lbs a month for 18 months. I occassionally had a stall for 5-7 days, but it never lasted more than that. The mo.re i lost , the more I increased my exercise. This obviously would not work for everyone. I am now on maintenence and still trying to figure out the right combo of cals and exercise.0

Started April 15, 2012. I think I have been going pretty good. Started off with 1550 calorie and reduce with weight loss. I'm now at 1340 a day. I exercise an average of 6 days per week and do not eat back the exercise calories unless I'm just staved but usually not. I try to exercise at least 45-60 minutes mostly cardio. 1340 calorie is the lowest I will go at this point but I'll see in about 1 to 2 months (I sure have reach my goal or very close to it) but not less than 1340 calories.
If I stall I just eat a little more but not all the exercise calories (maybe 1/2).0 -
I have been averaging over 2 lbs a week, but I'm on a ketogenic diet, so that's typical for that type of diet. I was never able to consistently achieve those kind of results on a typical reduced calorie diet.0

1# a week is a wonderful steady weight loss. I'm averaging 1# a week now, also. I eat 1200-1400 cals a day, usually have 1 higher cal day during the week, around 1800 or so. I do DDPYoga a few times a week for exercise. I cant eat back my cals either, not yet anyway.0

I've been on MFP since 7/11/12 and have lost 14 lbs overall. I've lost more inches than I thought though! I lost about 5 right away and then have leveled off at about 1 lb per week. I have my goal set at 1 lb per week and have about 1500 calories per day. I have about 50 lbs more to lose and would like to have that off in a year. I FEEL so much better since I've been eating right (most of the time), exercising about 3 days per week and drinking only water/tea, and the rare diet soda. I usually eat back most of my exercise calories since food is fuel for your body when you exercise.0

I've been doing this since the first week of May. That's 22 weeks. I have lost at least 22 pounds (I got a new scale, but that 22 is a minimum). It has been very steady.
I eat 1310 calories net, exercising around 300 calories a day, which I eat back. I'm set to one pound a week.0 -

Same here. My first 7 months, I averaged one pound a week. Some weeks more, some weeks less, some weeks nada. Always ate my exercise calories, averaging between 1800-2000 total.0 -
Have been going seriously since 2 January this year and have lost on average 500 - 600 grams (1lb) per week, up until very recently - but that's because I haven't been nearly as careful as I was before. I've lost 53 lbs overall, but had lost some of that beforehand, so around 48 lbs in 9 months. I eat around 1450 calories a day and I do eat back any of the few exercise calories I earn. So it can be done - oh, and I'm over 60 too, so age is no barrier :-)0

I net around 1500 calories a day, and that's with eating back my exercise calories. On that diet, I've lost 1# a week, on average. Some weeks, I lose nothing; other weeks, I lose several pounds.
That being said, I'm not perfect with my tracking or my measuring. But 18 weeks in, and I've lost 18.8 pounds, so what I'm doing works for me.0 -
I have lost approximately a pound a week. Some weeks more, some weeks less. I eat about 1800 cals a day and I am "lightly active".0
