Hey, I'm new here. I've lost 3 stone over the past couple of years, so am wearing dresses for the first time, which is new territory for me.
Anyway, I'm going to a wedding soon and have a lovely dress that I've never worn, but I'm worried it's too fancy to wear as a guest. It almost reminds me of a wedding dress, but grey, rather than white. I've posted a couple of pictures to see what people think. Ignore the visible bra, as I wouldn't be wearing this on the day.
By the way, I'm not fishing for compliments, I just need some advice. Sorry for the quality - I live on my own and had to set the timer on the camera.

Hi,
I think it's a lovely dress and as long as the bridesmaids aren't wearing grey, you'll be fine.0 -
I think the dress is great! Not too much for a wedding.0

I'd wear it. It's a wedding, you have an excuse to dress up! Go and be confident! It looks great. Just make sure you have awesome shoes to match!0

Thanks for the picture help!
Shoes are another problem - I'm not a shoe girl. Will Converse do?0 -

Do yo know what the bride is wearing? It is a lovely dress and my only concern would be if the bride was wearing a very similar style.0

Brilliant! I can't cope with uncomfortable shoes and the idea of wearing heels is a nightmare to me! Plus, I've got to get the Tube to the church, so I want something I can actually walk in.0 -

No, not a clue. That was my concern too. It would make a lovely wedding dress itself!0 -
I've just noticed that the photos don't look quite right, further up the page. I'll attempt to do it (I hope this works - I wish there was a post preview function on here!):
*edited photos out as it posted them the same as before*
If you look up the image addresses separately, they display properly.0
