For women with implants under their muscle

Options
Are you out there??? Has anyone ever been told by their plastic surgeon NOT to do chest exercises, including push ups?

My situation is due to breast cancer/reconstruction, but I don't figure it would make a whole lot of difference. I have two plastic surgeons. One said that I should NEVER EVER do pushups and such. My other doctor said to continue with no restrictions (as my surgery was a solid 9 months ago). I'm conflicted with how to continue.

Perhaps get a third opinion? Your situation my be different, but I know many women with implants that do a ton of chest work. Heck, look up images from women's fitness and bodybuilding competitions and 80% of them have implants. So it's definitely possible. But if it's possible for YOU is something that only your personal physician can help you with.

Yeah but I was reading that most body builders get their implants over the muscle or the muscle building can move the implant and make it look weird.

I kind of got a third and fourth opinion, but they weren't doctor opinions. These two were exercise specialists/fitness trainers that specialize in cancer. They both suggested a middle of the road approach --- increasing weight in small increments and with ample time for my body to adjust before increasing again. I'm not against the middle of the road approach.

But that first doctor, with the NEVER EVER, slightly scared me
