Meat question

I asked my hubby if he was willing to only eat red meat 3-4 times a week and he got slightly upset. I mean what can I say the man like his meat. By all means he is not over weight at all he is about 5 8 or 5 9 and weigh in the lower 100's. I want to know if it is ok to eat more then that in a week. I want to add meat to every meal with a lot more veggies and fruits in our diet

Is there any other options for this. We only really eat meat with dinner and I am not eating anough protien but don't want to over do the whole red meat thing. I love meat also so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I don't see an issue as long as the fat is trimmed from the meat. Red meat just isn't as lean as poultry.

If you're going to be serving that much red meat, make sure you're going with the leanest meats you can find as often as possible. He's really that much into red meat that he needs it more than 4 nights a week? What about poultry and fish?

High red meat consumption has been linked to an increase risk of death among other things. White meat has actually been linked to lower death rates over a given decade.

If you use hamburger in a lot of your meals try replacing it with ground turkey... most times... they don't know the difference!!!

Also, just because you make the meat for dinner, doesn't mean you have to always eat it. Like you said, load up on the veggies!
