Joining the gym, any strength training advice?!

Hi,

I'm joining a gym today and I'm particularly interested in starting strength training. Does anybody have a link to a decent training program? I have no idea where to start with this.

    Find a trainer who can get your form correct with the compound barbell lifts. Deadlifts, squats, presses, rows. Check out the book Starting Strength if you can. Strong lifts is similar to that and free on the website (google strong lifts). Start light, get the form down then keep adding weight
