Moms with Nursing Babies?

I am nursing my 3 month old, and wonder about calorie intake... and general weight loss while breastfeeding.

Anyone else out there breastfeeding too?

I'm still nursing my youngest, who just turned one this past weekend. What has worked for me is picking the correct activity level (even while I was at home, I was set at active for all the crazy running around up and down stairs), set my profile to lose 1 pound a week (now it's set at 1/2lb since I am so close to my goal), adding in the best breastfeeding option into my food diary, and eating all my base plus nursing, plus the majority of my exercise calories.

I think you burn/lose at least 400 calories a day nursing the babes. I always lose weight faster when I'm nursing so your actually doing yourselft a favor by taking the weight off now instead of later. Later will be harder.
