Just curious - there are no ads on here to speak of except for one tiny ad at the bottom of the page... they don't seem to promote any particular products or encourage us to buy anything... how does My Fitness Pal make money??

There's ads everywhere. Banner ads and side ads. You must have an ad blocker in use.

There's a leaderboard ad at the top of this page and a skyscraper ad to the right, lol.

They must use 'cookies' because the ads I see are usually for other things I have been searching on the net like car insurance etc....

Mind control. You don't realize it, but you've been sending them $39 a month via PayPal since the day you logged on.

It's funny....I never even realized there were ads until I checked MFP on a different computer! Obviously my computers at home have some kind of ad-block installed! :)

Ads, ads, ads. There's three on this page for me right now. And I really hate the Radio Shack one I see time to time that pops up and blocks the forum link if you get your mouse anywhere near it.

I'm flabbergasted that people have ad blockers installed and have no idea that they do...

    good point..

Eh. People share computers. Someone else in the house probably did it. Or they took it to GeekSquad and some kid was like VOILA! Or they inadvertently clicked on a browser add-on. Or the computer was second-hand. Or...blah blee bloo. Anything!

    :)
