No exercise for a week?

So, I've only been working out for about a month and a half now. For the first month, I was on a roll and lost about ten pounds. I had no idea I would plateau so quickly :( I haven't lost anything for over three weeks now! I had my calories down to 1400 a day and worked out six days a week. I would do the treadmill for an hour and a half everyday and then my strength training three days a week.

I have tried to increase the intensity on my work out and that did not help at all. I read somewhere on here where they said to NOT exercise for a week while still keeping your calories in check and this would help. Will it? Not losing weight is causing me to lose alot of motivation so I need to do something to get it moving again!
