GUYS!! Low Calorie Beers, What's Good Out There?

Fellas, AND LADIES!!

I never wanted to have to do this, but I need to switch from delicious Shiner Bock to something more calorie sensitive.

What have you tried? What tastes the best?

TRUTH! If I'm having a beer, I'm all in. I just don't enjoy as much as I used to.

Guinness. 126 calories in 12 oz. And it doesn't taste like pee.

I've found Bud Platinum to be passable. The higher alcohol content makes it a little easier to swallow. It's 137 calories per bottle. Ultimately though, I agree with the majority. Budget your calories and drink good beer.

I'm offended that you don't trust females to have a good opinion about beer...

^but I agree with budlight platinum. you get the most alcohol for your calories haha. most low calorie beers are watered down and disgusting. sometimes I just say screw it and drink my favorite beers and just watch what I eat before and after.

Agreed, if your going to have beer it might as well be good. Most of the "lower calorie" beers are only 30 - 40 calories lower than the real thing so just have 2 instead of 3 and enjoy.
  • I know you're asking for guys to respond and I'm a girl, but I love my beer! Abita, Old Rasputin, Pliny the Elder, Duchess de Bourgogne, Shock Top, etc. - I love 'em all! Life is too short to drink bad beer. Either exercise more or drink less beer.
  • just grab a cold corona and enjoy it :)

I'd rather have 2 good beers than 4 crappy ones.

If I have to miss lunch in order to have good beer with dinner, so be it.

It ain't the best, but Guinness is fairly light in calories. Most sites list around 155 for a 14.9 oz draught can, 125 for a 12 oz bottle. Any lower than that and you might as well drink water!

Wow, take 45 seconds to look it up, and everyone beats me to it!

I'm not easily offended but why are you aiming this to the guys and fellas?? I'm a beer lover myself and choose beer over anything else when I want a buzz.

To answer your question (event though I'm a GIRL) is Bud Light Platinum! It's about 130 per 12oz but it's 6% alcohol so I find myself drinking less of it than regular beer. Try it before you knock it. I prefer full bodied beers but I would rather have a few more often and drink this than do without.
