Can i have some opinions on my calorie intake please, I am supose to be around 2100 to lose but im eating way below that, I am not hungry at all cos the foods im chosing are keeping me fuller for much longer,

I believe im getting all my nutriants, fibre, calcium, protein, vitamins etc..

My portion sizes are a lot smaller as as some are aware i have a lapband, due to a leakage i put the weight back on,

Anyway i need a new band & im helping the procedure by losing some weight & getting used to smaller portion sizes

Im drinking wine & eating chocolate on my calories

Im due to see my health adviser week on wednesday any input would be appreciated x

    Hi Debbie!

Just keep up the great frame of mind you are having about trying your best. Sometimes the weight will all of a sudden come off a couple pounds at a time.

I drink wine and eat chocolate - all in moderation of course. The wine, I try to have only one glass 2-3 times per week. Chocolate, very small portions, maybe twice a week (i.e. fun size candy bars helps that portion - if you stick to only 1).

Are you working out at all, like walking or anything? If you move some, that does help a lot. And 2100 calories seems more than I would expect to help you lose. Sounds more like a number to maintain your weight. You might want to double check that. And water!!!! Make sure you are drinking half your weight in water. Such as 200lbs = 100oz of water. That will help to flush a lot of toxins as well.

The main thing is to talk to your doctor, no matter what any of us say. When it comes to the lapband, I'm not that knowledgeable. I have a cousin who had Gastric Bypass and a niece who will be doing it soon. My cousin lost well over 100lbs and looks great. I'm sure this will work for you, too, with or without the lapband. YOU CAN DO THIS!

Just keep positive, don't give up, and continue to stay connected with MFP, for motivation and support.

I hope the very best for you on your journey.

Thanks hun for your reply & the friend add..

I only like bournville dark chocolate, i have 4 chunks (not every night)

Ive gone from drinking 7 bottles a wine a week to 2

Due to my weight/height/ etc on here my calorie goal a day is 2056 to lose im a 304lb woman

I lost 100lbs on the lapband in 9 months 3yrs ago, so i know i can do it again..

Im walking everyday anywhere from an hour to 2, i know the more heavier someone is the more calories they burn

At one stage on the lapband i was eating 700 calories a day after surgery but we are monitored VERY close & have to take vitamins/iron pills, it is a very drastic weight loss not to be taken lightly

Maybe my body has adjusted again to it, i do feel slight restriction so maybe its kicking in again?

Yes, the weight and calorie goals are different. But you are really doing great.

And just think back how great you felt after that 100lb weight loss!! You are walking - fantastic!!!! Just to get up and do it is half the battle. Well, more than half in my eyes!

2 bottles of wine is about 1 glass a night, which shouldn't be that bad. But who knows, maybe that alcohol is making you hang on to it. And the dark chocolate is the best for you. Wish I liked it. Unfortunately, I like the cheap bad milk chocolate. lol! Once again, small portions though.

Happy you are on my friends list. Excited to share your journey, and mine. Although I have 38 lbs to go, my self esteem is HORRIBLE when it comes to my dear husband. I feel so bad for him. I know a lot of girls who are heavier and have a "this is who I am" attitude and are so comfortable with themselves. I am not. Wish I had just a touch of that. Not looking to be super thin, but definitely looking to get into an entire wardrobe that awaits me in my closet!!!!!

Have a wonderful afternoon. We will talk again soon.:flowerforyou:

I read the book "Choose to Lose" and it was eye opening. The book might suggest for you to be sure to get those calories in, to keep your metabolism running high.

good luck. I know how hard it is! :flowerforyou:
