Hey guys,
So doing a week of MFP and I love it. I've noticed that my snack is always higher than the rest of my sections and I want to try and improve that. What do you guys eat for snacks after school/work that is low in calories, yummy and healthy for you?

Hi,
I will have carrots and 1-2 tbs of ranch dressing. Wheat crackers with a wedge of skinny cow cheese. Veggies dipped in light ranch dressing.0 -
Hello superstarbaby!
Welcome to MFP. My snacks tend to be protein related most days. Some days it is fruit, but I find fruit doesn't "stick" with me as long as protein. Good choices would be:
1. a tablespoon of peanut butter and 5 crackers
2. a cup of lowfat cottage cheese
3. a half cup of low fat or plain Greek yogurt with a teaspoon of jam or jelly mixed in
4. a scrambled egg sandwich: (1) egg, (1) 2% cheese slice, (1) slice bread. Cook egg in 1 tsp butter
Many options out there. Just depends on what you like:)
Most "snacks" are considered to be around 200 calories.
Good luck:)0 -
I've started carrying a baggie with beef jerky and wasabi peas in my purse. I'm a salt lover and it hits the spot during the day. Also, sometimes I mix a scoop of my chocolate protein powder with water, it's less than 100 calories and pretty filling.0
