  • I'm not on it yet, but I've read the book, and also have done a lot of reading about glycemic load, which is a little different, based more on typical serving size. The main thing I get from my reading is that fruit really doesn't raise blood sugar much at all, but most breads/cereals/refined grain foods... and baked potatoes... will shoot blood sugar up like crazy.

Right now I'm just starting and focusing on calories only, but as I go along I'm going to be trying to move away from the starches. Not sure how I'll do, because I love them. Sprouted grain bread is lower GI so I do buy that, even now. And I buy Fiber One cereal because that's lower, too.

    Are you on it?

Yes, I have 4 books, lol, I got them all from the library so I would have lots of recipes...I have been on it for a week. It's not very difficult, I do however have issues getting in enough calories on days I do Kickboxing so I eat a lot of Cottage Cheese, lol!
