Dragons of Chiril AKA The vanishing Sculptor

I love books. Absolutely adore them. However, when a book changes titles, it's frustrating. The Vanishing Sculpture by Donita K Paul and Dragon of Chiril by Donita K Paul are the same exact book, just called the Dragons of Chiril instead now. I'm glad I noticed this while I was AT the store and not after I bought it. *grumbles* I'm glad I got the Vanishing sculpture before it got renamed, because it's a more accurate title. The other title doesn't make any sense.

Either way, it was a good book, and so are her other books of the Dragonspell and Dragonlight and other 3 books that go along with that series. :)

Ok, done with my rant now. :)

Before the interwebs took control of my life, I was an avid reader. The "Dragon Lady" writer of my generation (and others before me) was Anne McCaffrey with her Dragonriders of Pern series... although she was wonderfully prolific in other series as well... as well as in collaborations with other writers... She passed away last year.

I haven't read any of Donita K Paul's books. Fantasy, I take it?

I've heard her books are good. Never actually got around to reading them. I might have to once I'm finished with the 2 new books of Danita's that I got. Yes, it is fantasy :) Fantasy is almost the only thing I read for pleasure.

Her character development is excellent and the scope of her imagination in creating whole worlds... phenomenal!

Generally, I read fantasy but I've been known to dabble in science fiction as well...

Do you prefer the medievalist style or have you explored some of the more existential novels like those of Tanith Lee or C. J. Cherryh?
